수학은 인류의 역사와 함께 시작되었다!

식량의 수를 세는 단순한 셈으로부터 시작된 수학은 현재 고도로 발달된 현대 생활에서 없어서는 안 될 중요한 학문 분야입니다. 인류 문명이 발전함에 따라 수학은 많은 분야로 세분화되어 갔으며 현재도 인공지능, 기계학습과 같은 새로운 수학 관련분야들이 끊임없이 생겨나고 있습니다.

본 강좌에서는 수학의 필요성에 대해 알아보고 수학을 크게 9개 분야로 나눠(논리학, 대수기하학, 위상수학, 대수학, 정수론, 해석학, 편미분방정식, 확률론, 응용수학) 각 분야에 대한 간단한 역사와 각 분야의 연구 주제/결과에 대해 알아봅니다.
