The Paleolithic people of Maedoon cave in Jeongsun caught fish with nets!

Yonsei University Museum excavated Maedoon cave-sites five times from 2016 to 2019, where the cultural layer of various periods from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages was identified.

Specially, in the excavation conducted from 2018 to 2019, the oldest existing Paleolithic weights of fishing nets was released along with fish backbone, which has attracted great attention from domestic and foreign academia so far.

Here is the story of the oldest net weight from Maedoon cave in Jeongsun and Han Chang-gyun, former museum director, will tell you this interesting story vividly.
