세계화와 근현대 한국의 대중문화

21세기 현재, K-pop, 드라마, 영화 그리고 웹툰에 이르기까지 한국 대중문화 콘텐츠는 언어와 국경을 넘어서 동시대의 세계와 만나고 있다. 한국 대중문화에 대한 세계적인 인지도가 높아지면서 이에 대한 학술적인 논의도 활발해지고 있다. 이러한 시점에 이 강좌는 한국 근현대 대중문화의 역사를 세계사적인 흐름과 한국적 특수성, 양측에서 이해할 수 있도록 돕고자 개설되었다.수강생은 이 강좌에서 근현대 한국 대중문화의 역사적 형성 과정을 입체적으로 조망함으로써, 한국 사회의 문화적 역동이 한반도 내의 정치경제적 변화만이 아니라 한반도를 둘러싼 세계사적 변화 및 문화의 유동과 관계되어 있음을 이해하고, 근현대 한국의 대중문화가 다양한 세계사적 조류와 대화하며 형성되어온 양상을 설명할 수 있게 될 것이다.

 
This course examines the historical development of modern and contemporary Korean popular culture in a complex political, social, and historical context, enabling students to understand the history and present of Korean popular culture from both the perspective of global flows of history and Korean specificities. In addition, students will understand that the cultural dynamics of Korean society are related not only to political and economic changes within the Korean peninsula, but also to global historical changes and cultural flows surrounding the Korean peninsula.

K푸드의 탄생: 20세기 한국 음식의 역사

개항 이후 현재까지 한국인의 식탁을 중심으로 살펴보면서 20세기 한국 음식의 역사를 추적하고 그 의미를 알아본다. 전 세계적인 ‘K-Culture’ 열풍 속에서 한국 음식이 갖는 위치를 탐색하고, K푸드의 탄생 과정을 역사적으로 고찰함으로써 한국인의 식생활(문화)의 변화상을 탐구한다.

 
This course examines the history and significance of Korean food in the 20th century by tracing the Korean dining table from the open port period to the present. This course explores the status of Korean food amid the global ‘K-Culture’ craze, examines the historical process of the birth of K-food, and investigates the changes in Korean eating habits and food culture.
